The Site may use cookies and registry settings on your computer to store user information. A “cookie” is a small file containing a string of characters that is sent to your computer when you visit a website. Additionally, some ad networks may use web beacons in conjunction with cookies to compile aggregate statistics about usage on the Site. A “web beacon” is a transparent image, typically in GIF format that can recognize certain types of information on a visitor’s computer, such as a visitor’s cookie number, time and date of page view, and a description of the page where the web beacon is placed.

You may disable cookies on your web browser, thereby also rendering some web beacons unusable. You can use the Site, services, and software products even if cookies are disabled, but this may impact our ability to adapt any of the Sites, services, and software products according to your preferences.

Third Party Advertisers. In addition to providing our own advertising, we use third party advertising companies and networks to serve ads when you visit the Site. These companies and networks include third party ad servers, ad agencies, ad technology vendors, and research firms. These companies and networks may use Non-PII about your visits to the Site in order to provide ads about goods and services of interest to you. In the course of serving advertisements to the Site, our ad networks may place or recognize a unique “cookie” on your browser or use a web beacon. An example of such ad network is Yahoo, Inc. If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices about not having this information used by Yahoo, please refer to their advertising practices and privacy policy. We use Google Analytics to collect Non-PII via the DoubleClick cookie. The data collected from this cookie allows the possibility of remarketing to you through the Google Display Network.

Ad Choices. Certain third party ad network providers may use web beacons and cookies to help present, better target, and measure the effectiveness of their advertisements by using Non-PII gathered over time and across their network of websites to determine or predict the characteristics and preferences of their audience. This is also known as online behavioral advertising. An ad network’s use of cookies or web beacons, and that of any other third party that has a link available on the Site, is subject to their own privacy policy and not this Privacy Policy. For more information about online behavioral advertising and to know your choices about not having this information used by these companies, go to www.youradchoices.com. Google also has its own tools that allow users to opt out of data collection and prevent their data from being used by Google Analytics. To access this opt-out tool, visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/

Do Not Track Signals. Some web browsers may transmit “do not track” signals to websites with which the browser communicates. We respond to and respect “do not track” signals.

The Site and certain services and software products allow for open, forum-like communication via online forums, message boards, blog commentary and Q&A threads. Any PII disclosed in these areas may become public information. You should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your PII through these channels.

Other websites, such as those to which we link or with which we cobrand or provide services via APIs or other extensibility may have their own policies. These other sites may independently collect data, solicit personal information, and send their own cookies to you. Co-branded and API services that are jointly provided by us and selected companies will contain that site’s branding but might not be hosted by us. The Site is hosted in the United States and is governed by United States law. If you are using the Site from outside the United States, please be aware that your PII may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located and our central database is operated. The data protection and other laws of the United States and other countries might not be as comprehensive as those in your country.
